Central African Republic

Exotic, underdeveloped and hard to beat when bragging about countries visited. The Central Africa Republic is where it says it is. Unlikely to be the first country visited in Africa it offers seasoned travellers an experience like no other.

Float in a boat, or outside a boat, in the Sangha river through the forests of Dzanga-Sanga. This is the centre of a 16,000 square kilometre Unesco World Heritage Site in spanning 3 countries in the Congo Basin.

The unique clearings in the forest give an opportunity to see forest elephants and western lowland gorillas.
