Zimbabwe

Landlocked between Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe is famous for the mighty Zambezi river and the Victoria Falls. But there is plenty more this country and its hospitable people have to show.

Great safaris are on offer in many parts of the country. Activities range from super-relaxing to adrenaline-fuelled and a history that dates back centuries.

The Zambezi offers days of relaxation gazing from it shores in luxury lodges. And up-close game viewing from boats, canoes, vehicles and on foot.

Then there is bungi-jumping and rafting for adrenaline seekers and exciting fishing for Tigerfish.

Ancient and more recent history can be found in the Great Zimbabwe and the Matobo Hills National Park.

Hwange National Park is an undiscovered must-see. Baobabs and majestic teak forests form the background of a place full of wildlife.

“Go to the banks of the great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees, and find out.” (Rudyard Kipling, The Elephant’s Child, 1902)
